Company Overview
Nikos Ioannou is a well-known company with a long tradition in the field of jewelry manufacturing and sales.
Mr. Nikos Ioannou began his career as a young apprentice in one of the goldsmith workshops in the old quarter of Larnaca in 1945.
The company was founded in 1961 and has since grown significantly, with stores in Nicosia and Limassol, other business activities as well as a substantial qualitative contribution to the island’s jewelry industry.
Mr. Nikos Ioannou developed the company while maintaining a personal interest and love for Cypriot artistic culture, which led to a large collection of old Cypriot jewelry, objects and antiques in his private gallery. In 1992, through his personal efforts, Mr. Ioannou founded the “Cyprus Jewelers’ Museum”. Alongside his own collection, he managed to collect through donations, several additional pieces of jewelry and jewelry-making equipment, which were in use since the early 18th century. These are exhibited in the “Cyprus Jewelers’ Museum”, of which Mr. Ioannou is the founder and president.
In 1995, Mr. Nikos Ioannou was joined by his eldest son, Mr. Giannos Ioannou, a graduate of St Martins School of Fine Arts in London. Mr. Giannos Ioannou has won many awards in international jewelry making competitions, which has rightly characterized the company as “Jewelry Designers”. He continued the company’s tradition, while upgrading and modernizing the services provided. Today, he is the creative director and leading force of the company.
The Nikos Ioannou company now sells jewelry as well as luxury watches and maintains the same principles, such as attention to detail, customer satisfaction and high quality products, that have contributed to its success over the years.
