In Cyprus, the traditional treats offered at weddings are loukoumia or moullia. In recent years, however, many couples prefer to offer a keepsake gift at their wedding. These souvenirs are usually silver, and due to their cost they are given only to guests attending the official dinner, unless the wedding is held within a close family and friends circle.
Make sure to order enough treats for all your guests, plus an additional 20%. Responsibility for transporting the treats to the congratulations area is usually undertaken by the pastry chefs who prepare the order. However, it is advisable to coordinate directly with the person creating your treats or wedding favors regarding transportation.
Choose the baskets in which the treats will be placed and assign a few friends or cousins to distribute them to your guests.
